ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Eastbound lanes of Interstate 94 in St. Paul will be closed for bridge work over the weekend.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports (https://bit.ly/1yCGGam ) the closure between Interstate 35E and Mounds Boulevard will start at 10 p.m. Friday. The lanes will reopen at 5 a.m. Monday. Drivers should take northbound 1-35E to eastbound I-694 to avoid the closure.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the closure will allow crews to remove and replace bridge beams on the Lafayette/U.S. 52 Bridge over the I-94 lanes. The bridge and ramp from northbound U.S. 52 to I-94 will stay open.
