MONROEVILLE, Pa. (AP) - County police were continuing to investigate an on-duty accident involving a western Pennsylvania officer’s sport-utility vehicle now that the driver of another car has died.

An autopsy was scheduled Thursday on 50-year-old Priscilla Robinson, of Monroeville.

She died Tuesday evening, a day after her car collided about noon with the SUV driven by a Monroeville police officer, whose name has yet to be released. Monroeville police Chief Doug Cole says the officer is on administrative leave pending the investigation.

Cole says the officer was driving to assist another officer in a stolen vehicle chase when the collision occurred.

The police vehicle was equipped with a device that is supposed to change traffic lights to give pursuing officers the right of way in traffic. The investigation involves whether that system worked properly before the crash.
