CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Brett Wishon scored 21 points from the bench including three 3-pointers in the final minutes to help Lipscomb edge Austin Peay 68-59 on Saturday.

Wishon’s trio of 3s with less than five minutes to play shattered a 53-53 tie and sent the Bisons (4-5) on the road to victory in the stretch. Wishon made 7 of 12 3-pointers.

Lipscomb trailed 13-7 early in the first period but took the lead on a 10-1 run to a 30-26 halftime advantage.

Austin Peay came back to tie it, 53-53, with the help of an Assane Diop dunk and two free throws by Ed Dyson with 5:06 to play before Wishon’s hail of 3s helped give the Bisons the winning edge.

Malcolm Smith added 11 points, six rebounds and three steals for the Bisons. Josh Williams had 10 points and seven rebounds.

Dyson led Austin Peay (2-7) with 21 points and six rebounds.
