NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) - Police say a 17-year-old boy from Millbury has died at a Worcester hospital of injuries sustained in a car crash earlier this week.

The Telegram & Gazette of Worcester reports (https://bit.ly/1GzubjY) Northridge police say Jacob Westbury died Friday at UMass Memorial Medical Center. The announcement came Saturday.

Police said Westbury was riding in the back seat of a Nissan Altima that had stopped for a school bus on Quaker Street in Sutton at about 2:20 p.m. Tuesday. The car was struck from the rear by a Ford F-350 pickup truck driven by another 17-year-old police say was driving 45 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Police say the pickup driver faces charges including motor vehicle homicide by negligent driving. The driver’s name was not released.
