BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - One hundred performers are participating in this year’s production of “The Nutcracker” presented by the group Northern Plains Dance.

The last performance in Bismarck is scheduled for Sunday afternoon. “The Nutcracker” tells the story of Clara and her nutcracker doll that is turned into a handsome prince.

Students from Northern Plains Dance, Bismarck and Mandan community members, and professional dancers from across the country are part of the production. Ellie Fogarty, of Bismarck, will perform the role of Clara. Maddy Peterson, a senior at Northern Plains Dance, will perform the role of Snow Queen.

The performance begins at 2:30 p.m. at the Belle Mehus City Auditorium.
