HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - A federal prosecutor says eight people have been arrested in the Hot Springs area as a result of a drug investigation.

U.S. Attorney Conner Eldridge says the eight were arrested Friday on charges that he says involved large scale drug trafficking and methamphetamine.

Eldridge said the Department of Homeland Security Investigations and the 18th Judicial East Drug Task Force took part in the investigation.
