ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Police in Albany are investigating whether two shooting incidents are related.

On Friday, police say there was a report of shots fired around 10 p.m. in the vicinity of Second Avenue and Broad Street. The victim had gone to Albany Medical Center.

Police say the 24-year-old victim told officers he was driving his vehicle when an unknown person fired toward him and wounded him. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday, police say there was another shooting at Myrtle Avenue and Philip Street. The 31-year-old male victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the Albany detective division.
