CULLOWHEE, N.C. (AP) - A bomb threat at Western Carolina University forced the school to delay a commencement ceremony and hold it outdoors.

A school news release says university police evacuated about 7,000 people, including 600 who were graduating, from the Ramsey Center before Saturday’s fall commencement ceremony.

The commencement ceremony was then held at the school’s football stadium about 90 minutes late. The school says that there were no injuries.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s office is working with campus police to investigate.
