MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - The U.S. Coast Guard has rescued four boaters after their vessel caught fire off Murrells Inlet.

Petty Officer Cathy Adams tells WBTW in Myrtle Beach (https://bit.ly/12OqYjG) that an emergency call was placed around 11 a.m. Sunday and that the boat was about 8 miles offshore.

Adams says the engine caught fire on the 39-foot boat.

All four people evacuated the boat and got on a life raft.

Adams says one person was taken by helicopter to a hospital and the other three were taken back to shore by boat.
