CRESCENT BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Authorities are trying to breathe life into an unsolved case with new facial reconstruction images of an unidentified woman whose body was found in Crescent Beach 29 years ago.

The Florida Times-Union reports (https://bit.ly/1sjZJJI ) that the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office hopes the image created by the University of South Florida will help identify the remains found in a sand dune on April 11, 1985.

After the remains were unearthed by a crew building a dock, a University of Florida team of anthropologists identified them as those of a white woman between the ages of 20 and 40.

The study estimated her height at 5-feet 7 inches and said she had light brown or blonde hair.

The death was ruled a homicide even though no cause of death could be determined.
