COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Motorcyclists and vintage auto enthusiasts are gathering for their 14th annual Christmas Charity Ride to bring holiday cheer to the region’s military veterans.

Dorn VA Medical Center spokesman Kevin McIver says riders were meeting Sunday to accept gifts and donations at the Carolina Honda Powerhouse on Buckner Road in Columbia.

The parade of cars and motorcyclists was then heading to the Medical Center on Garner’s Ferry Road.

Food was provided in return for donations to support the gift effort.

Items needed include socks, gloves, sweatshirts, slippers, light blankets, toiletry articles, back packs, ball caps and well as cash contributions.
