CAMARILLO, Calif. (AP) - Detectives are investigating the possible burglary of a Southern California home that was heavily damaged by a storm last week and deemed uninhabitable.

Ventura County sheriff’s Capt. Don Aguilar says a resident of Camarillo reported $11,000 in jewelry missing after returning home Saturday afternoon. He says detectives are pursuing leads but no suspects have been identified.

The home was among a group of residences damaged when rain unleashed a debris flow from hillsides scarred by a wildfire last year.
