FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Firefighters in Fayetteville have rescued three people, including a 5-year-old, from a fire inside their home.

Multiple media outlets report Assistant Chief Richard Bradshaw said the fire occurred early Sunday.

Bradshaw said firefighters were notified en route that people might be inside the manufactured home. Flames were visible at the rear of the residence when firefighters arrived. Bradshaw said firemen forced their way inside, found the residents for took them to safety.

According to Bradshaw, all three were treated for smoke inhalation on the scene, but no one was taken to the hospital. He said the State Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Fayetteville Fire Department in the investigation of the fire. A cause hasn’t been determined.
