DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - A former attorney in Dothan has pleaded guilty to 50 felony charges, including misappropriating more than $10.5 million from former clients.

Frederick “Mitch” McNab pleaded guilty Monday to felony theft and security fraud-related charges. The Dothan Eagle (https://bit.ly/1BQCQ3q ) reports a sentencing hearing is set for Feb. 2. Some of the crimes carry a maximum 20-year sentence.

Prosecutors accused McNab of stealing from clients from 2002 to 2013. His clients apparently believed their funds were being held in an interest-bearing account. Instead, McNab illegally used the funds for his own benefit.

McNab lost his license to practice law in Alabama in 2013.
