SEATTLE (AP) - Gov. Jay Inslee is starting a week of budget announcements on Monday with his plan for funding education.

Washington state lawmakers will begin their legislative session next month looking for billions of dollars. They are under pressure to fund Initiative 1351, which was approved last month by voters to lower class sizes. And the Legislature is under a court order known as the McCleary decision to fully fund basic education.

Coming up this week, Inslee plans to talk about his transportation budget on Tuesday and environmental issues on Wednesday. On Thursday he’ll give his state budget overview.
