NEW YORK (AP) - Police have arrested a man suspected of slashing the tires of more than 40 vehicles in Brooklyn.

Police say 21-year-old Eduard Ivashcenko, of Brooklyn, was arrested on charges of criminal possession of a weapon and criminal mischief. It wasn’t clear if he had a lawyer.

Police released video showing a man walking down the sidewalk and striking the front right tires of two vehicles he passed.

The vandalism took place in Flatbush between midnight and 2 a.m. Sunday.
