COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho (AP) - Officials in northern Idaho’s Kootenai County say the public defender’s office will be moving off of the county campus and into another building.
Kootenai County Commissioner Dan Green told the Coeur d’Alene Press (https://bit.ly/1zW7RB3) that there is no security and no room left in the current county building.
Green says the lack of space could become an issue if the county has to hire more public defenders. He says that could be one of the recommendations that the Public Defense Reform Interim Committee makes to the Idaho Legislature this year.
The move is expected to cost $110,000.
