COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Gas prices in Ohio are down once again to start the new work week.

The state’s average price for a gallon of regular gas was $2.41 in Monday’s survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX Inc. That’s down 19 cents from a week ago and more than 70 cents less than a year ago.

The national average Monday was $2.55, down 12 cents from a week ago. Last year at this time, the national average was $3.23.

Oil has now fallen 47 percent since reaching a peak of $107 a barrel in June this year. The prices are good news for consumers but there are also worries the recent plunge is a sign of a sickly global economy.
