FORT DIX, N.J. (AP) - President Obama plans to visit a southern New Jersey military base on Monday afternoon.

The White House says the president is coming to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst to thank the troops and their families for their service and sacrifice.

The military base in Burlington County is the nation’s only one tri-service joint base. It is home to more than 38,000 active-duty, reserve and guard service members, civilians and family members.
