CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) - Making the Dean’s Honor List at Southeast Missouri State University will soon be more difficult.
The Southeast Missourian (https://bit.ly/1xmiPQJ ) reports that by next fall, students will need a 3.75 grand-point average or above, earn the grade of B or higher in all classes and have no failing grades in credit-only and pass/fail courses.
Provost Bill Eddleman says GPAs are on the rise. During the previous school year, more than 5,000 SEMO students were named to the Dean’s List - 2,583 in the fall of 2013, 2,504 in the spring.
Current Dean’s List requirements include completing at least 12 credit hours per semester with a grade-point average of 3.5 higher and no grade below a C. Courses without grades do not count toward the required hours.
