BRIGHTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Michigan State Police say a truck hauling 38,000 pounds of bananas rolled over near Brighton.

The Livingston County Daily Press & Argus of Howell reports (https://bit.ly/1zV4mKX ) the crash happened Sunday in Brighton Township, about 35 miles northwest of Detroit.

The semi crashed on the ramp from northbound U.S. highway 23 to westbound Interstate 96. The ramp was closed for several hours after the crash.

State police say speed is considered to be a factor in the crash. Investigators didn’t immediately release additional details.
