SOUTH JORDAN, Utah (AP) - Friends and family are remembering a West Valley City woman who died along with her 4-year-old son after a head-on collision in Salt Lake County.

A candlelight vigil held Sunday night honored 31-year-old Rashelle Meguerditchian and her son, Zaven Meguerditchian, who died Friday.

Investigators believe the mother was driving on the wrong side of Bacchus Highway, also known as State Route 111, early Friday morning when her vehicle was hit by an oncoming pickup truck.

The truck driver was taken to the hospital after suffering serious injuries.

Relatives tell KSL (https://bit.ly/136xfXP ) that the woman and her family had been living in a hotel because their house flooded. But they described the mother as a positive and inspiring person.
