DENTON, Texas (AP) - Police in North Texas have canceled an Amber Alert for a 4-year-old boy who went missing after his mother was found dead.

Denton police said Monday night that the Texas Department of Public Safety called off the search. Police say the child hasn’t been located but the investigation no longer fits the requirements to continue the alert.

Police say they will pursue all leads to ensure the safe return of the child. They believe the boy is with his father.

Police found the body of the 27-year-old woman Saturday afternoon at a business offering insurance and tax services. It’s unclear how she died.
