HIGHLAND, Calif. (AP) - Authorities in San Bernardino County say 33 known gang members have been arrested in a crackdown this month.

Sheriff’s officials announced Monday that those arrested are members of the Crips and Bloods, whose intense rivalry has recently turned even more violent.

A news release says three are suspected of murder and others of attempted murder, robbery and carjackings.

The arrests were made Dec. 5 in Highland and San Bernardino after months of investigations.

The task force included the Sheriff’s Department, the San Bernardino Police Department, the California Highway Patrol and the FBI.
