TOWN OF MEDINA, Wis. (AP) - The Dane County sheriff’s office is investigating the discovery of a body in a burned-out car found in a field.

Authorities say the badly burned Chevrolet Cruze was found in the Town of Medina about 8 p.m. Monday. The remains of one person were inside the vehicle.

The Dane County medical examiner, along with crash reconstruction experts and detectives from the sheriff’s office, continued to process the scene Tuesday.

No additional details were released.
