SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A woman whose ex-boyfriend pleaded guilty in the shooting death of a Utah police officer has agreed to a plea deal.

Court records show 35-year-old Traci Vaillancourt pleaded no contest to two reduced charges of obstructing justice Tuesday.

Her layer Matthew Kober says she maintains her innocence, but the plea allows her to get closure and be released from jail.

Court records show Judge Bruce Lubeck could reduce the charges to misdemeanors if she successfully completes three years of probation.

Prosecutors say her ex-boyfriend, Timothy Troy Walker, killed Draper Police Sgt. Derek Johnson then shot Vaillancourt in the back in September 2013.

Authorities said she told investigators conflicting and misleading things.

Walker pleaded guilty to aggravated murder and is serving a life prison sentence.
