ELK TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - No one was injured when a firehouse in southern New Jersey caught fire.

Fire companies from neighboring communities assisted the volunteer members of the Ferrell Fire Company in Elk Township battle the flames Monday night.

Mayor Patrick Spring, who is the fire company’s captain, tells the South Jersey Times (https://bit.ly/1wVqJBb ) the flames started in the firehouse’s lounge.

The fire did not damage the fire trucks.

Spring says there’s nothing in the building that they can’t replace.

The cause is under investigation.
