NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - The U.S. Marshals Service says a fugitive has been captured in Norfolk.

United States Marshal Robert Mathieson says Petro Johnson was captured on Monday.

Johnson was wanted by the Norfolk Police Department for three counts of child endangerment and one count of destruction of evidence. The charges stem from an incident that occurred in Norfolk before Thanksgiving.

Johnson was seen near the intersection of Church Street and Mayville Avenue in Norfolk. Shortly after, Johnson was taken into custody without incident.
