BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont Public Broadcasting Service has a new president and CEO.

Holly Groschner of Corinth expects to take over in mid-February.

Groschner most recently served as general counsel for the Vermont Telecommunications Authority, working to improve access to broadband and cellphone service across the state.

Groschner also worked at Crown Castle International based in Pittsburgh, on projects for The Mountain Institute in West Virginia, and as a partner with the Vermont law firm, Downs, Rachlin & Martin, P.C., specializing in telecommunications.

She succeeds Charlie Smith, who has been interim CEO since April.
