NEW YORK (AP) - New York City police are aggressively pursuing a group of demonstrators accused of assaulting two officers at a massive protest over police killings of unarmed men.

The NYPD released photos of seven suspects on Tuesday and offered a $12,000 reward for help finding them. Another nine were being sought as witnesses.

Police say two lieutenants were accosted while seeking to apprehend a man who was trying to throw a trash can at officers who were policing protesters on the Brooklyn Bridge. They say an amateur video shows the suspects pushing, kicking and punching the officers.

Tens of thousands of demonstrators turned out for the march on Saturday. It followed a grand jury’s decision not to indict a police officer in the apparent chokehold death of Eric Garner.
