LUCEDALE, Miss. (AP) - Skeletal remains found a year ago in George County have been identified as 43-year-old Barry Frank Roig Jr.
George County Sheriff Dean Howell says the remains were found in the northern part of the county. He says a DNA analysis was recently completed by the Mississippi State Examiner’s Office.
Howell tells The Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/1BSNGGj) in news release that the cause and manner of death could not be determined from the remains.
He says foul play is not suspected and a pre-existing medical condition may have contributed to the death.
The case has been turned over to the District Attorney’s Office for presentation to a grand jury.
