MARIANNA, Pa. (AP) - The county coroner has been called to the scene where state police were responding to reports of a possible double shooting in southwestern Pennsylvania.

Washington County 911 dispatchers confirmed the report, but referred questions to troopers from the Washington, Pennsylvania barracks, where a spokesman didn’t immediately provide details.

The report came in early Tuesday afternoon that two people might have been shot and were not breathing in Marianna, a tiny borough near neighboring Greene County.

Washington County Tim Warco’s office confirmed it had been contacted about 4 p.m. about the incident. But coroner’s officials weren’t saying how many people were reportedly dead, nor how that may have occurred.
