EDGARD, La. (AP) - A 16-year-old Reserve boy has been arrested in connection with a LaPlace drive-by shooting.

The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office says authorities arrested him at school on Monday at 1:05 p.m. Additional arrests are possible.

NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reports (https://bit.ly/135mGoe ) investigators accused the teen of firing from a sport-utility vehicle at three boys, ages 14, 15 and 16 on Delta Road last Friday.

No one was injured. Authorities say they don’t have a motive for the shooting.

The suspect’s name was not released because of his age. The Sheriff’s Office did not say Tuesday what evidence connects him to the shooting. He was booked with illegal use of a weapon and assault by drive-by shooting. He is being held at the Assumption Parish Juvenile Detention Center.
