SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A judge is setting a trial date for a 77-year-old Utah man accused of lewdness for sunbathing nude in his backyard.

A lawyer for Myron Lee Kipp said Tuesday he hasn’t been able to come to a plea agreement with prosecutors, and a judge set trial date for March 18.

The trial is scheduled to last a day and a half.

The Standard Examiner reports (https://bit.ly/1qWZun6 ) a judge granted defense attorney Bill Albright’s request for the jury to travel to see the Kipp’s backyard in Farmington, which is about five miles away from the courthouse.

Police say neighbors reported in March that children could see Kipp through a chain-link fence with no privacy slats, but Kipp told an officer he could do want he wanted on his property.
