BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - The University of Vermont says its full-time faculty members have approved a new contract.

The university said Monday that the contract that was ratified by United Academics will expire on June 30, 2017.

The university says the contract provides for performance-based and across-the-board annual increases, as well as salary adjustments when faculty members are promoted.

UVM President Tom Sullivan says he’s pleased the university and union were able to reach a mutually satisfactory contract.

The contract covers about 725 full-time lecturers, clinical, extension, library, research, tenure track, and tenured faculty.
