NEW YORK (AP) - Two men have been sentenced to 15 years in prison for the death of a woman who was shot through a door at a New York City birthday party.

Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown announced the sentence Tuesday for Oneil Mairs and Nicholas Allen.

They were convicted of manslaughter last month.

Prosecutors say Mairs slapped his girlfriend at the February 2011 party. He and Allen were kicked out. They banged and pushed on the door.

Gunfire erupted moments later and pierced the door, killing 26-year-old Avalisa Morris.
