LOS ANGELES (AP) - Police say one of three men shot in a West Los Angeles neighborhood has died and investigators are trying to determine whether the attack was drug- or gang-related.

Investigators also have detained a man and two women for questioning, although nobody has been arrested.

Police say the shootings occurred shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday in a home on Helms Avenue in the Beverlywood neighborhood.

Authorities say the victims, ages 18 to 25, then staggered out of the home, leaving a blood trail.

Early reports had said a gunman chased the men through the neighborhood and a nearby high school was locked down for about 90 minutes.

The other two victims are hospitalized.
