BARLING, Ark. (AP) - An 18-year-old Arkansas woman and her father have been arrested after police say they attacked an 18-year-old man.

Barling police investigator Keith Lindley tells The Southwest Times Record (https://bit.ly/1sE2khR ) victim Jesse Pyles underwent emergency surgery Tuesday afternoon and described his condition as stable.

The suspects were arrested after a three-hour standoff with authorities on Monday. It’s unclear if they have been charged.

Lindley says the 41-year-old male suspect is dating the victim’s mother and that the older man struck her. Lindley says the man then assaulted Pyles and that his daughter stabbed Pyles six times with a knife.
