BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A southwestern Idaho restaurant owner has been sentenced to more than three years in prison for conspiracy to evade taxes.

U.S. Attorney Wendy Olson announced Tuesday that 49-year-old Rogelio Contreras Villasenor was sentenced to 41 months in prison and three years of probation by U.S. District Judge Edward Lodge.

Villasenor owned and operated the Caldwell restaurant Tacos Michoacan for about 20 years. Prosecutors said Villasenor failed to report over $1 million in income between 2005 and 2011, and that some of his unreported income came from growing marijuana on public lands and trafficking drugs.
