CENTRALIA, Wash. (AP) - The Lewis County sheriff’s office says a man who fled from Centralia Municipal Court Tuesday as an officer was trying to handcuff him was arrested Wednesday morning at a Chehalis home.

The sheriff’s office says 22-year-old Phillip A. Pinotti, 22, of Adna was taken to jail, facing charges of assault and escape. Three friends also have been arrested and accused of rendering criminal assistance for hiding him.

A security officer who was nearly run over as Pinotti’s drove away Tuesday fired a shot into his car.

Chief Deputy Stacy Brown says the bullet missed Pinotti but he suffered injuries to his face from breaking glass.
