GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Greenville County deputies are looking for a woman they say has managed to steal more than $42,000 from several Upstate banks.

Investigators tell local media outlets that, in the past six months, they suspect Lorraine Michelle Walker of compromising 16 different bank accounts.

Authorities say Walker used closed or insufficient checking accounts to deposit checks into local ATMs. Then, they say she took money or an account credit from the bank.

Deputies say there are eight active warrants against Walker for defrauding federally chartered financial institutions.
