NORTH LIBERTY, Iowa (AP) - An overnight fire has destroyed a North Liberty house in eastern Iowa, but no injuries from the fire have been reported.

The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports (https://icp-c.com/1uYwGab ) that firefighters responded around 3 a.m. Tuesday after a resident reported hearing a loud noise and smelling smoke.

It took firefighters about eight hours to put the fire out. They are investigating the cause of the blaze.

Two occupants in the house escaped unharmed.
