CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has stocked about 900 large trout in lakes in Cheyenne.

Sloans Lake received 390 brown trout and 100 brook trout recently and Lake Absarraca received 390 brown trout. The fish were culled from the breeding stock at a state fish hatchery.

The brook trout are all four-year-old fish and averaged about 1 pound and about 14 inches.

The brown trout are three to five years old and also averaged a pound each and up to 14 inches in length. However, some of the older fish are about 18 inches in length.
