DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - Police have arrested a man on kidnapping and robbery charges following a couple’s report that they were robbed of their winnings after leaving a southwest Ohio racino.

Dayton police say the couple had left Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway on Monday when a man approached them and asked for a ride.

Police tell the Dayton Daily News for a story Wednesday (https://bit.ly/1AnkEut ) the man later refused to get out of the couple’s van, pulled a gun on them and demanded their money.

Police say they identified suspect Douglas Hughes through surveillance video.

The 54-year-old Hughes was being held in Montgomery County Jail on felony charges of kidnapping and aggravated robbery.

Jail records say Hughes is awaiting court action and don’t list an attorney.
