ROCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Police say a New Hampshire man has been arrested on charges of possessing drugs and leaving a 2-year-old girl unattended at an apartment where he and two others showed signs of a heroin overdose.

Police were called to an apartment in Rochester on Tuesday, where they found three people, two of them unresponsive. They were revived and taken to a hospital. A 2-year-old toddler was in the apartment.

Police said one of the three, 20-year-old Nathanial Donato, was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled drug, endangering the welfare of a child and contempt.

Donato was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday; it wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer.

Police said the child is currently in the custody of her mother.
