BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) - The Whatcom County sheriff’s office says a man forced his 10-year-old son to run for three hours on logging roads at the crack of a horse whip.

Other family members reported the 32-year-old man and another relative who were punishing the boy Sunday for not doing his chores properly at their home in Maple Falls.

KOMO reports (https://is.gd/Qjkl2N ) both men were arrested for investigation of abuse. The boy was put in the care of other relatives.
