MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - Police say two people have been charged in the fatal stabbing of a Morgantown man at his apartment.

Morgantown police said in a news release that 41-year-old Leslie Fields was stabbed multiple times and beaten Tuesday. Fields died by the time police arrived.

Police say two of Fields’ roommates, 47-year-old Brian David Greeson and 55-year-old Charles Ray Shaffer, were arrested and charged with murder. Both suspects are being held on $250,000 bond.

According to police, officers found the victim covered in blood on the floor. In addition to being stabbed, Fields had been struck in the head with a stick.
