BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities have released the names of two young men who were killed in Buffalo in separate shootings earlier this week.

Investigators tell local media that 20-year-old Darren Rice of Niagara Falls was shot on Jewett Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. He died a short time later.

The second shooting occurred on Genesee Street around midnight. Police say 19-year-old Tracy Avery of Buffalo was hit by gunfire and died after being rushed to Erie County Medical Center.

No arrests have been reported. The investigations are continuing.
