CINCINNATI (AP) - About 300 people attended funeral services for three children who lost their lives in a deadly house fire last week in southwestern Ohio.

The Hamilton-Middletown Journal-News (https://bit.ly/1C4izHP ) reports that the services were held at Princeton Pike Church of God with burial at a cemetery in Hamilton.

Seven-year-old Alexander Flores-Ortiz and his sisters, 10-year-old Siclali Flores-Ortiz and 12-year-old Yesenia Flores-Ortiz, were killed in a fire Dec. 12 at their Hamilton home.

The newspaper reports that the pastor officiating at the service read letters about the children written by their parents and an aunt. The letters described how much the children were loved. Some of the children’s favorite songs also were played.

The state fire marshal has said the fire started in the living room, but authorities have not identified a source.
