LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer and plans to hold a news conference on scams against immigrants.

Feuer along with Councilman Gil Cedillo and LA county Consumer Affairs Director Brian J. Stiger say that on Thursday they’ll warn potential victims of immigration consulting scams and announce their plans to crack down on them.

A city attorney’s statement says the office plans town halls to educate the public on President Barack Obama’s recent executive orders on immigration and to provide valid legal resources for those seeking help.
